How do Sales teams use AI prospect research briefs?

Sales teams know that researched outreach outperforms generic outreach, and they also know that research is where the hours go. A skill-driven workflow can take a name plus a company or email domain, resolve which person is actually meant, research the company and the role from public sources, and emit a fixed-template brief in which every factual claim carries a source link and a date. The same run produces the outreach angle, a short opener within a configured word cap, and a plain fit or disqualify verdict, so the research output arrives in a form a rep can act on rather than as raw notes. For Sales teams it most often supports: Improve lead quality; Accelerate deal cycles; Increase close rates.

Why sales teams adopt this

Reps spend a large share of a non-selling week assembling account and person research by hand, and the research that results is often unsourced, out of date, or attached to the wrong person entirely.

A Claude skill captures what the buyer sells, their ICP, disqualifiers and proof points once, then per run resolves prospect identity with an explicit confidence level, researches the company and role from public sources, and emits a fixed eight-section brief with sourced signals, one angle, one opener, a verdict, and an explicit list of what could not be found.
