Friday Reckoning reads your review log for what you committed to, your calendar for what actually happened, and your notes for the rest, then emits one page: what moved with evidence, what stalled and why, hard flags on anything missed three weeks running, hours by goal against intention, and next week's plan sized by arithmetic to the hours left after everything already booked. Onboarding captures goals, review day, what counts as a win, and where the log lives. You trigger it with a saved prompt and a recurring calendar block; it never claims to wake itself.

Setup requirements

Cowork or Claude Code - both persist your settings between sessions; the Claude app runs the skill but cannot save your setup
Code execution and file creation enabled in Claude settings - the skill installs via Settings > Customize > Skills
A calendar connector - Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook - scoped to the calendar you actually work from, or an hours figure you supply instead
Optional Notion connector if the review log should live in a Notion database rather than a local markdown file
A writable location for the review log, since the log holds the slip counters
Three to six current goals or live projects, with target dates where they exist
Your working hours per week, any protected hours, and your review day and time
A chosen trigger method - a saved prompt plus a recurring 30-minute calendar block, a manual phrase, or an existing Claude Code scheduler
