Ledger Compass captures your numbers once - currency, income and whether it is net or gross, fixed commitments, debts, liquid buffer and goals - then reduces each month to one command. It categorises a transaction export or a rough summary, computes the position through a bundled Python reconciliation script that shows its working and refuses to emit a plan when its identity checks fail, compares against last month and against plan, then returns goal progress with revised dates and one honest observation. Budgeting aid only - never investment, tax or debt-product advice.
